"How hard can it be to design a parachute....Da Vinci did it" He did and so can you! In the 1500s Da Vinci designed what we know now as a parachute. In this challenge you are going to build a replica of his parachute then try to improve on his design.

Description:

Upload a video of you demonstrating both DaVinci’s parachute and YOUR final parachute design. Include the following explanations in the video:

  • Describe each component of your final design and how it addresses the three criteria:
  • Slower descent
  • Increased durability
  • Increased aesthetics/attractiveness
  • What you learned from the engineering design process.
