Is your middle school student very curious about STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) beyond the classroom? In Argonne Science Discovery Camp, rising eighth and ninth graders with a developing passion in the STEM areas come together to learn about the exciting work done at a national laboratory! By working in groups on hands-on projects, interviewing science and technology experts, and touring the labs and world-renowned scientific facilities, campers hone their skills and gain insight into the future of science and technology!
In this free, five-day enrichment experience, campers will learn about several STEM fields that Argonne specializes in, from computing to future energy innovations! This camp is designed for students that have a high curiosity about science and want to learn more and who enjoy working in groups with others. The camp will include opportunities for open-ended exploration and projects, creativity and teamwork that model how Argonne scientists do their exciting work.
